Almost everyone can own a blog.But some blog are really “sucks” and annoying.So,here is the way to be a pro blogger!

1.Get your own domain

You should get www.wengkhin.com instead of wengkhin.blogspot.com.Even you have to pay to get your own domain but it is still worth to do so and it is getting cheaper.Why I have to get your own domain?Because search engine spider “LOVE” to ignore those blog with sub-domain (wengkhin.blogspot.com) and it looks unprofessional for your visitor.

2.Short and easy domain

You should not get any domain that is extremely long or confusing.If you plan to get WengKhin.com and it is unavailable,try to get WengKhin.com.my.

3.Good theme

You should get yourself a good theme.A nice and attractive theme will make your visitor to stay on your blog.Try not to get those theme which are too complicated and unorganized.A simple theme normally rocks!

4.Stay organize your widget and ads

You should organize your widget and ads in order.For example:HongKiat.com(Very Good example).It is best not to place your Ads or widget in a very obstructable place which will make your visitor feel annoying.You should also avoid placing too much ads or placing them without organizing.

5.Always update

For a professional blogger.Example:Raymond.cc.He update his blog regularly.Each visitor aspect to see new blog post every time they went to your blog.If you don’t update regularly,you really make them sad.

6.Biography page

A biography page really make a different in your blog.A biography page make your visitor feel confident,it is best with some “tame” picture.But try to write in 3rd person biography.Example:

-I am WengKhin from Malaysia.I am a technology blogger xxxxxx——–Bad

-Malaysia technology blogger WengKhin,then xxxxxx——-Ok!

7.No music on your blog

You should not place any music widget in your blog.Those music really makes your visitor feel cheap.Furthermore,what if your visitor does not love the music?Would he just feel annoying….And what if your visitor is in the library and suddenly your music “ROCKS” the library?……….

8. Watch your visitor

You should have a good tool to monitor your blog visitor.So that you can actually know who is your main visitor and target them.You should get Google Analytics which are free.

My truth:My visitor are mainly from US and not my country.Shame……

9.No visitor counter

You should not place a visitor counter.A visitor has calculator.They can calculate how many visitor actually visit your blog a day.You are actually shaming yourself!Hide this…..Don’t show off even you have huge amount>>that might be collected in 5 years ago….

10. Don’t show off that you are a geeks!

You must avoid telling your visitor that you had log your visitor ip address.As this can cause your visitor to feel unsecure and uncomfortable.Even you wanted to warn your visitor to behave them-self,you should not it in this way!

11.Too short or too long

Some of my friends love to blog but they seems to be blogging too much.The whole blog are full with text and no picture or video at all.You should practice not to blog too short .If you love to blog in such short way,I recommend that you use Twitter,microblogging.

12.Not to be too rude to warn your visitor

“Warning!This blog is fully copyrighted.Content lifting is strictly restricted on this blog.Your every move or ip is logged.Please behave yourself.”

Calm down man…Try not to write anything like this.This is really very annoying for your visitor!You should practice writing Term of Use…It is better and you can use it for legal act.

13.Use the social network effect

Twitter,Facebook,Digg,feedburner is a great place to get visitor and make your visitor stay inform.Especially Digg and Twitter,they bring very big effect.

14.Organize some contest

If you have too much money or you just wanted to get visitor in a faster way.Organize a contest.You don’t really need to give actual gift,you can give free ads or product key(that you brought legally).

15.Beware of 3rd party company that hurt your back!
