Backup your website with Cpanel

[ad#head]

It is important to backup your website regularly especially after you did some major or minor updates. If you are using Cpanel that’s good.Let’s do it together!

1.Login to your Cpanel

By default,it should be http://www.yourdomain.com/cpanel(Example for WengKhin.com>http://www.wengkhin.com/cpanel).Then login with your username and password provided by your web hosting company.

2.Select backup

3.Select Download or Generate a Full Web Site Backup

You can either backup your website partially or completely. But it is better to backup completely!

4. Click Generate Backup

Backup Destination is the place where your backup will be generated.(Example:I choose “Home Directory”).Then click “Generate backup” and the Cpanel will tell you that a email will sent to you when the backup had generated completely. So now it is the time to wait for a while………..(Remember:Don’t close—->If you are lazy)

5.Click “Refresh”

Refresh your page when an email had delivered to you and start downloading!

Keep it and store it in a safe place. You will receive a compress folder that contain tons of file which you need to restore them MANUALLY when needed.
