Tune up your PC

Someone told me that tuning your PC cost you money. Huh? Is that real. Today, I am going to bust them. They are just so bad for charging you to tune up your PC. Just simply read this and tune it up any time you like.

Uninstall unwanted Program

Have tons of unwanted or unused program installed on your PC. Uninstall them! because they took up space and create unwanted registry which contribute to slow performance. Some were even worst, they run in background.

Scan Scan Scan

Viruses, Spyware, Malware make your PC sick. Try to scan for them and make sure they don’t live in your PC. You should get a good antivirus: Norton (I love norton).

Check Disk

Windows Check Disk

Remember them? You should check disk regularly. Otherwise, you are going to be torture by “bad sector”.

  • Computer > right click “Local Disk (C)” > Properties> “Tools” tab> Click “Check Now” > select both of them and reboot required.

Update your PC

What’s the purpose of releasing update? Fixing the problem. That’s right, update will also speed up your PC such as RAM leak and other performance issue.

Kill Autostart Program

Skype, MSN, Adobe Updater. That’s frustrating because they start automatically. Just simply open “Run” >Type “msconfig” >under “Startup” tab and start killing those unwanted autostart program.

Delete Junk

After years or month of using, you PC should contain lots of junk from megabytes of cookies to gigabytes of cache. That’s terrible. They create unwanted space and slow down your PC. Just like you walk in a room that have lot’s of junk and rubbish around, would you get in the room fast? Probably NO.

So, here come the solution. Get CCleaner to clean those junk with ease.

Repair broken Registry

Registry are a string of command that command what your PC should do. If there are too much unwanted or useless registry, your PC would probably perform slow.

Thanks to Ccleaner extra function. It has built-in registry repair tool. Just simply click on “Registry” > Scan for Issues> and fix selected issue. And remember to make a backup. You need them when something went bad. Bad thing occur.

Defragment!

When there’s lots of change in your hard disc, your hard disc would probably get fragmented. If those fragmented files get more, your hard disc are going to work harder and eventually your computer will get slower. Try to defragment your PC. Tools you might find be helpful:

  • Disk defragmenter (type in “Disk Defragmenter” in start menu)
  • Smart Defrag (FREE)
  • PerfectDisk ($29.99) We love this. Really.
